Matcha Green and Iron Super Speckled Cups

This handmade ceramic cup is thrown on the wheel using a super speckled stoneware clay. It is then coated in a matcha-green stoneware slip on the outside and 1 cm along the rim before its first firing. I finished the cups with a shiny glaze and expressive brushstroke stripes of iron oxide wash.

Technical specifications: Each cup measures approx 9 cm high and 8 cm wide at the rim and hold approx 300 ml. Each cup will vary slightly as they are handmade. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
