Ivory and Iron Wash Classic Mug

This mug is wheel thrown using a buff stoneware and then glazed in a demi-matte ivory. I have hand-painted an iron washed spot pattern on the body of the mug, creating a one of a kind design that highlights the irregular nature of iron in glaze. It features my favourite mug shape for milky hot drinks, designed to keep drinks warm with a round shape. Made in Margate, U.K.

Technical specifications: Mug is approximately 9 cm tall, 7.5 cm wide at the rim, and holds approx. 400 ml. Please note that the iron wash can create a surface texture with small bumps and bubbles in contrast with the smooth matte ivory glaze - see macro images for example. These are part of the surface design and will stand the test of time.
