This handmade ceramic cup is thrown on the wheel using buff stoneware clay and glazed using a demi-matte ivory glaze with an expressive brushstroke pattern using copper and iron oxide washes. The bottom inch (or so!) of the cup is left unglazed to allow the natural texture of the stoneware peek through and allow the lovely finish of the iron wash to shine.
