Ivory and Iron Wash Barista Carafe
This carafe is thrown on the wheel using a buff stoneware clay and glazed in an ivory demi-matte glaze, leaving about an inch of raw clay exposed to highlight its natural texture. I’ve finished the pot with expressive brushstrokes using an iron wash, leaving a dark brown shiny motif on the outside of the jug. In my head, this is a coffee server, designed to hold a V60 or similar pourover dripper, but I’ve had others call is a gravy boat- whatever suits you!
Serving suggestion: Filter coffee or gravy, but never at the same time
