Teal, Ivory and Copper Flow Barista Mug

£28.00

This mug is wheel thrown using a lightly speckled St Thomas stoneware clay and then glazed with a demi-matte glaze teal and ivory glaze (with an ivory liner). I have added thick, flowing stripes of copper oxide to evoke the first days of the North Saskatchewan river breaking up and beginning to flow in the Spring in Edmonton, Alberta, where I’m from.

This mug features my more contemporary shape, called a barista style as it holds smaller volumes and lends itself well to foamed milk art when compared to my classic shape. Made in Margate, U.K.

Technical specifications: Mug is approximately 8 cm tall, 8.5 cm wide at the base, and holds approx. 300 ml. Each mug is handmade and unique so surface decoration and measurements will vary slightly. Please note that the iron wash can create a surface texture with small bumps and bubbles in contrast with the smooth matte ivory glaze - see macro images for example.
