Butter Yellow and Iron Wash Espresso Cup
This (honestly very cool if you ask me) espresso cup is made on the potter’s wheel using a buff stoneware clay. I’ve glazed it in a demi-matte butter yellow glaze and added a loose, melty spotted pattern on top with iron oxide wash, enhancing the iron in the clay body and creating a really lovely surface texture. My finger marks from glazing are left on the bottom of this pot, making a wavy pattern on the base of one side. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Technical specifications: approx. 7 cm high and 7 cm wide, holds 200 ml. Please note that the iron wash can create a surface texture with small bumps and bubbles in contrast with the smooth matte ivory glaze - see macro images for example.
